I am a teen located in Washington, DC. I take my educational opportunities seriously and see art as a way to express my thoughts and remind people of natural beauty in the real world while we are so drawn into the digital. I am passionate about costuming, theatre production and also enjoy Victorian fashion.
My favorite parts of nature are forests, rivers and the deep sea. I like using elements from them, such as the unique adaptations of deep sea animals, as inspiration for my art.
I enjoy using used cardboard, second-hand clothing and unconventional materials that would usually be discarded. I will even use dead plants and second hand or melted down plastics for my work. It's important to me because climate change is becoming more and more of a problem, so I try to use my art to 1) remind people of the beauty of nature and 2) to show that we do not always need new things in a time when social media drives us towards materialism.
